Day 6

Had a good 5-mile hike today to the William Douglas Shelter.  Stratton Pond is beautiful in the morning.

A bit of a challenge, but at least it’s not rocky…

  1. I am a friend of Linda Daniel. She directed me to your site. I wanted to follow your movements but was unable to get into your site. Good luck on your hike, and I do hope you find a cure.

I am so proud of you and all you are doing. My mother lost her battle with ALS this past January…but she too lived every minute of her life to the fullest and impacted the lives of so many people by doing so! Keep enjoying the beauty of life and stay strong. You are not alone and make more of a difference than you can know. Be blessed!

Rick, I’m sure you don’t remember me, but Brenda is one of my dearest friends from high school and beyond, and I have been following your blog every single day. I am so impressed by what you’re doing and proud to say that I know you. You inspire me every single day. I’ve shared your story with as many people as I can, and will continue to, and every single response is the same…”this man is awesome!”, and inevitably, followed up with, “my mom/dad/brother/sister/friend/etc. has ALS, and…” Your story means so much to so many. I’m not sure you realize the impact you’re having, but trust me, it’s beyond huge. ❤ Keep rockin', Steady!
